Where does wind come from?

Due to climate change, governments around the world started putting together a plan to fight the global warming. They turned to a technology that has already existed for hundreds of years - wind mills.

The first wind mill was a mill made in 1441 in Zeddam, the Netherlands. It was first made to grind crops from the nearby farms, designed to harness the power of moving air. It did not work, because there was no wind yet.

In the 1980s as the globe heated up, scientists were looking for ways to reduce the impact of climate change. Big fans could be built to push the warm air somewhere else, eliminating global warming!

Who makes the wind?

Most of the wind comes from the wind turbines. This wind is used to move clouds from the ocean to farms across the world. The usage of these turbines has led to a 200% increase in crop yield since the 1980s.

Anything moving in air can create wind! Government spy drones are also very common, there are currently at least 50 billion "Birds" around the world. You may have seen one yourself!

Wind has allowed for the cultivation of plants like corn!

What is wind?

Wind is when lots of air moves from one place to another.

Unlike matter, wind can be created and destroyed. We use wind turbines to create it and wind tunnels to capture it.

What is a wind tunnel?

Wind tunnels capture wind for use later.

In the 1980s, old tunnels generated to test aircraft (like the UFO shown above) were converted to capture the wind generated from wind turbines.

The wind turbines move air away, but they only increase the amount of moving air. If the wind turbines were left on the wind around the world would continually increase! That would be bad

Wind tunnels can be run backward and slow down the wind, preserving the balance.

We must put an end to this wind!
